Caparo Forging: Europe, the new sales and marketing business in the Caparo Engineering Division, exhibited for the first time under its new name at the IAA Nutzfahrzeuge at the Deutsche Messe in Hanover from 25th September until 2nd October 2008.
The event is a biannual fair and is widely regarded as one of the biggest and most diverse commercial vehicle shows in the world. In 2008, it attracted over 2,000 exhibitors from 48 countries, and over 300,000 visitors, due to its reputation as the international platform for all companies that develop, manufacture and use commercial vehicles.
Exhibiting for the first time under the name Caparo Forging: Europe, the newly formed commercial organisation was represented by members of its entire international team from the UK, Poland and India. The stand showcased the impressive global capabilities of the business, presenting components manufactured by all Caparo Forging companies worldwide. These included connecting rods from India, forgings and machined parts for heavy commercial vehicles from the
UK, and railway components from Poland. In addition, important inroads were made into the German forging market, which is considered as one of the largest and most competitive in the world.
Keith Newton, Commercial Director at Caparo Forging: Europe, is thrilled with the outcome of the exhibition. “With our combined capabilities and a global approach to our customers, we are certainly one of the strongest competitors in the market today. Our key strengths lie in our proven reputation for delivering high levels of service and quality, together with the flexibility and design capability required by our international client base.”
Caparo Forging: Europe Managing Director, Chris Hammond, adds: “The formation of Caparo Forging: Europe, a sales and marketing focused organisation, is a response to the changing realities in the market today. It is our way of ensuring that customers get the total support they require at any point, and that we always remain competitive and at the forefront of technology”.
